AQA: Business Studies

INTRODUCTION
The course enables students to gain an academic overview of the challenges of starting a business and the management and control issues as the business grows in size. The main subject areas include; finance and accounts, marketing, production techniques, human resource management and how the external environment affects how businesses perform. We will study possible strategies businesses can adopt to deal with changing business conditions.

Entry Requirements
GCSE English Language Grade C or above.
If the subject has been studied at GCSE at least a B grade is recommended.

Highlights
Business studies is a broad based subject that can be taken with a wide variety of A Levels depending on their interests. It fits in with humanities based subjects such as Geography, Politics, History and Media Studies. Also with Mathematical and IT based subjects. Some students combine Business Studies with a Modern Foreign Language.
