Royal Russell School is committed to the safeguarding of children and child protection.This policy has been developed in accordance with the principles established by the Children's Act 1989 and 2004, and is in line with the government publications Every Child Matters 2004, SafeguardingChildren and Safer Recruitment in Education 2006, the Croydon LA Safeguarding Children Policy and Procedures March 2005, the DCSF EYFS Statutory Framework , the AMA Guidance for Safe Working Practice for Adults who Work with Children and Young People November 2007, and the London Safeguarding Children's Board London Child Protection Procedures 3rd Edition 2007.
