INTRODUCTION
How do markets operate? Why do they sometimes fail? The course enables students to gain an academic overview of the challenges facing economies in an ever-changing world. The UK and International Economies are studied with an increased emphases on globalisation in A2. Students should not take Economics with Business Studies.

Entry Requirements
GCSE Mathematics Grade B or above
GCSE English Language Grade C or above.

Highlights
Economics can be taken with a wide variety of A Levels depending on their interests. It fits in with humanities based subjects such as Geography, Politics and History. Also would suit students who are more comfortable with a theory based analytical subject. You should have an interest in current Economic issues around the world.
