The Yr 7 Day Trip to Boulogne - France
On the 3rd of July 2007, a group of Year 7 students went to Boulogne in the North of France to get a taste of the French culture. The journey was pleasant, both on the coach and in the shuttle. Activities have included a visit to the Nausicaa Aquarium, a walk in the old town and a stop at the Hypermarket where students had the opportunity to practise their French. Despite slightly wet weather, the day was good fun and much appreciated by the students. Congratulations to our three quiz winners: Jodie Clarke, Sam Williams and Kathleen Henrick!!

Choisir le français pour GCSE donne aux étudiants l’opportunité de visiter Paris pour une semaine. Presque tous les élèves qui apprennent le français ont participé à cette expérience. La semaine était amusante car on a fait beaucoup d’activités intéressantes. Chaque jour on a fait quelque chose de différent qui nous a informé. Nous avons logé dans une école où on a participé à des leçons de français. On a même pratiqué avec les étudiants là-bas.
Les endroits qu’on a visités incluent la Tour Eiffel, la Place de la Bastille, le Disney Village. Le tour en bateau sur la Seine et les Champs-Elysées. Tous ces endroits sont des endroits connus mondialement. A la fin de la semaine nous avions appris beaucoup.

Taking French at GCSE gives students the opportunity to visit Paris for a week. Almost all the students who study the subject participated in this school trip. The week was full of fun as we enjoyed many interesting activities, most of which were educational! We stayed at a school where we also took French lessons and even practised our French with the students there.
The places we visited included the Eiffel Tower, the “Place de la Bastille”, the Disney Village and the Champs-Elysées. We also went on a boat trip on the River Seine. All these places are globally famous. By the end of the week we had learnt a lot.
