Out and About in May 2010?
Calling any OR’s – of all ages - travelling around the Netherlands in the early May holiday period. Near Almelo in the east on Monday 3rd May some 200 Dutch townsfolk, their children and the local band will gather in Zenderen wood at 8pm to commemorate Old Russellian Flying Officer Gerald Hood. It is a moving ceremony of children’s floral tributes, wreath laying, and Elgar’s music. If your travels can take you this way, you will be very welcome indeed.

Friday 16th July 2010 – New Zealand Reunion at Aces Bar, Sky Tower, Auckland
No need to book, just turn up any time from 7:00pm. Julia Lee (1982-1988), the Old Russellians’ Treasurer, will be holding this Reunion in New Zealand and looks forward to seeing lots of O.R.s. We will remind you by email nearer the time.

Friday 3rd September 2010 – Recent Leavers’ Reunion at Coombe Lodge
From 5.30pm … the Headmaster will buy your first drink if you get there early enough!

Tuesday 26th October 2010 – Hong Kong Reunion
Mr Antrobus, Mr Piggin, Mr and Mrs Tanner will be in Hong Kong at the Expo again this October. As always Mr Antrobus would be very grateful for any Old Russellian helpers and/or their parents. We will be holding a Reunion for O.R.s in Lan Kwai Fong and will put more details here nearer the time.

Friday 26 th November 2010 – Annual Dinner at The Chateau, Coombe Lane
Due to the popularity of this venue, it has been decided by the O.R. Committee to hold this event at The Chateau Restaurant again, on the traditional last Friday in November from 7.30pm. The AGM will precede the Dinner at RRS at 6.30pm and will finish at 7pm.

Monday 13 th December 2010 – 31 Years of Basketball at RRS
Graham Moseley and David Hughes started Bastketball at RRS 30 years ago. The 30 th anniversary tournament was very successful but sadly missed by many O.R.s due to the timing of the event. John Davies, Head of Sport, would like to organize this event for Monday 13 th December in the hopes that more of you will be able to attend. The tournament will end with a buffet and drinks in the brand new VI Form cafeteria.

A Saturday in May 2011 (date tbc) – Biennial May Reunion with PWG Memorial Cricket Match and JAC Memorial Rounders Tournament
After the success of the 2009 Biennial Reunion with Peter Green Cricket Match, the O.R. Committee would like to involve even more people and have decided to also run a brand new event in memory of Judith Chapman. The day will start at around 11am and finish around 5pm. More details nearer the time.
