Derek Mayo taught Geography in the 50s & was a keen photographer who came back from a 'safari' in East Africa with loads of colour slides of animals on game reserves.
Presumably he also took colour slides at the school in the 50s and Bill Forster is keen to get copies of some of these if at all possible, for the dvd he is compiling.
Derek is no longer alive but does anyone have contact details for any of the family, perhaps his widow or his son, Simon Mayo? If so, please email Bill at bill@fischer-balcke.de

Mark (Meiwyen) Roberts (1934-1939) has sent us the following plea:
"I have just read the article entitled Ballards Epistle, by “Bruno” and found it very interesting, although I was in St.Andrews house at Ballards rather earlier – 1934 to 1939.
Of the teachers mentioned I remember the Headmaster, Madden who we called “Tum Tum”. “Lanky” Wright, Carrick Smith, and St Andrews Housemaster “Old Bill” Trusswell. I would love to hear from any other oldies that may possibly remember me. .
