ANNUAL DINNERS

Thanks to all those of you who kindly completed the questionnaire that we enclosed with the Spring Newsletter.
Your comments were discussed by the committee at the meeting in April, and the following has been decided:
2008 Dinner: To be held at School on Saturday 29th November
2009 Dinner: To be held at The Chateau, Coombe Lane, Croydon, on Friday 27th November
Post 2009 Dinners: To be held occasionally outside school, all others to be held inside school
Invitations were sent out as normal with the Summer Newsletter and details were also included
regarding the 2009 Dinner.
There will be a discount for people who pay for their ticket this year for next year’s Dinner.

Football Tour 2010

Dave Jewiss, Sports Master at RRS, is considering taking an O.R. Football tour to either Barcelona or Amsterdam in the late summer/early autumn of 2010.

This would consist of 2 matches over a weekend. It will only take place if enough people put their names forward. If you are interested in taking part in this, please contact

Please note that if you left the school before Year 13 (Upper VI) there is no reason why you should not become a member of The Old Russellians! You are, after all, still an Old Russellian!

DID YOU LEAVE SCHOOL BETWEEN 1998 AND 2002?

If so, we are pleased to report that the Headmaster has agreed to an ‘electronic’ extension to your membership privileges.

This means that, provided we hold a valid email address for you, you will receive newsletters and other documents electronically, including invitations to all appropriate events, until 10 years after you left the school. 

We are delighted to be able to offer this to many of you, who are already good supporters of The Old Russellians.

If you do not hear from us soon, then email Sue: (stanner@royalrussell.croydon.sch.uk)with your address and other info for the database.

 

Change of Address/Tel No's etc.

Please let Sue know of any changes to your details, including addresses, telephone numbers, mobile numbers and Emails etc. A number of people change their Email addresses or send us the wrong one, and Sue would be grateful if you could let her know if you are one of these people. This will avoid undeliverable emails and returned post for us to deal with.

Newsletters
It is our intention to send these out 3 times per year. It will only continue to be a success if we receive short articles and photos from you, eg weddings, family events, interesting or unusual careers, participation in charitable or challenging adventures etc. You can email such articles to Sue or Julia for inclusion in the next newsletter.
