oyal Russell was founded in 1853 and we moved to our present extensive estate in 1924. Her Majesty the Queen is our Patron and the School Trust is governed by an experienced Board of forward-looking Governors.

Whilst an integral part of the Royal Russell School, the Preparatory School is in many respects an autonomous establishment with its own Headmaster, who is a member of the Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS), its own specialist subject teachers and a wealth of facilities dedicated to the children aged 3 – 11 years.

Our excellent facilities are enhanced considerably by sharing many facilities with the Senior School. Your son or daughter will, therefore, benefit from the use of our magnificent indoor swimming pool and a modern gymnasium and sports hall, in addition to our own specialist teaching areas.
