oyal Russell was founded in 1853 and we moved to our present extensive estate in 1924. Her Majesty the Queen is our Patron and the School Trust is governed by an experienced Board of forward-looking Governors.

On a day to day basis, the Junior School and Senior School operate separately. Mr James Thompson, the Junior School Headmaster, and Dr John Jennings, with responsibility for the whole school, report to the one Board of Governors who are the trustees of Russell School Trust, an educational charity which administers the school.

Our excellent facilities are enhanced considerably by sharing many facilities with the Senior School. Your son or daughter will, therefore, benefit from the use of our magnificent indoor swimming pool and a modern gymnasium and sports hall, in addition to our own specialist teaching areas.
