IIn September we welcomed Nigel Rocca as Deputy Housemaster of Cambridge House, along with twenty-four new boys,  including seven from Crispin House. The latter proved to be a great asset in strengthening  the Junior Sports teams, who then went on to win the Indoor and Outdoor Football Competitions as well as Basketball and Outdoor Hockey. In the School Cross-Country Sam Sheppard, Guy Hughes and Piers Hanifan finished first, second and third respectively. The Seniors struggled in the house competitions this year, although they did win the tennis. We were eventually  runners-up in the House Championship.

The Christmas Fair was well supported by the House and provided us with the opportunity to raise over £300 for House funds, some of which went towards our  riotous and thoroughly enjoyable Christmas Party. The Juniors were also taken on a mystery outing to  the IMAX cinema to see ‘The Snowman’.

World Cup fever hit the House in the Summer Term, with Alexey Golovin drawing the biggest loser and Tack Sang Lee drawing the winning team.  Term ended with a most enjoyable House BBQ with Oxford and Queens, and Paul Kumah and Mr Baron steered Cambridge to a 6-5 victory in the forty-a-side footy match!

My thanks to Calvin Ho and Lucien Lu,  who were very supportive Heads of House, and also to Mr Harrop, who has now left the School,  for giving so much time and help to me and to the boys in Cambridge House over the past seven years. Finally, I would like to thank all the Cambridge House staff for  their help throughout the year and to wish the leavers every success with their exams and for the future.
