YEAR 10
The 2005-2006 season saw the Year 10 team make good progress. We got off to a very encouraging start by winning 5-1 against Selsdon High, and our relief at not losing the game was obvious as we cheered at the final whistle. We then remained undefeated for the rest of the season and were top of our division. We participated in two tournaments and played very well in both, reaching the semi-finals. At the end of the year, we were moved into the higher division.
Antoinette Macgregor (Wing Attack) helped us keep possession with her tireless running and timely interceptions. Jordan Wathen (Goal Attack) scored freely, while Laura Donovan (Wing Defence) lifted our spirits with her enthusiastic cheering! Although Charlotte Bean (Centre) spent most of the time in mid-air, she was always ready to pass and move.
All things considered, it was a productive and enjoyable year for all. The hard training put in by both teacher and players obviously paid off, and we look forward to another successful season in Year 11
YEAR 9
The squad included Jordan Bowyer O’Brien, Francesca Gallagher, Jemma Hill, Kim-Trang Ngo, Robyn Rhule-Samuel, Ellie Russell, Bernita Shaw, Maddie Steer and Brooke White. We played many league matches against other local schools and were unbeaten at the end of the season. As a result, we moved up a division for next season. The team was disappointed not to make it through a difficult group at the Croydon Schools Tournament. Throughout the year we all played our best and improved; thanks go to Miss Shelton, who taught us new things and got us further than we expected.

YEAR 8
For the second consecutive year, the Year 8 netball team won their
division and competed in many tournaments.
They had very successful matches against Old Palace (won 13-1), Riddlesdown (won 8-0), and Harris CTC (a memorable 23-0). The team's dedication and passion for the sport really showed in the way they played. They have a great understanding of where their team players are, where they are going to move to and what’s going to happen next, so they play extremely well
together.
At the Surrey Tournament they won against Selsdon High, but lost against Putney High and JAGS. When it came to facing Croham Hurst, the game finished with a draw and they were therefore unable to continue to the next stage of the competition.
Having come third the previous year, the team were determined to win the Croydon Schools Tournament. They finished top in their group, beating Riddlesdown, Shirley High and Harris CTC. In the quarter-finals they defeated Woodcote but were knocked out by Croydon High in the semi-finals. They then had to battle their arch-rivals Croham Hurst to defend their third-place title. The game ended with a draw, so they then had to play extra time. After ten minutes, Croham Hurst found a weakness in our
defence and scored. The team were beaten but not downhearted, for they knew that they still had much to learn and were confident that the next time they faced Croham Hurst they would try harder to secure a victory.
We look forward to another successful term in Year 9.

YEAR 7
The Year 7 team had a huge number of successes. We remained unbeaten throughout the Division 2 matches. As a result of winning Division 2, we were moved into Division 1 for the following season. In the Croydon Schools Netball Tournament 2006, we earned a well-deserved second place. We had either won or drawn our four group matches, which took us through to the semi-final, where we won a close game 5-4. In the final, we came across Croydon High, with whom we had drawn in the group stages. Just seconds before the final whistle was blown, Croydon High scored the decisive goal to win 4-3.
