Cadets from Year 10 undertook an intensive two day first aid course involving skills based around the management of an unconscious casualty, resuscitation and how to manage an incident. The course meets the requirements of St John's Ambulance Cadets Level 2 First Aid, Army Cadet Force 2 Star first aid and similar requirements for a full assessed youth first aid qualification.

The course not only provided a qualification valid for 3 years but also valuable ‘Life Skills' which will give the Cadets confidence to deal with situation involving an ill or injured person. This course also satisfies the First Aid training element for Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme Expedition, which the Cadets have enrolled upon.
