“I was aiming to create a poster both bold and detailed, similar to the image of war itself.  I wanted to create a sense of grief coming from many sides of the conflict, devastation of property, grief of relatives, the dead and the wounded.  Although I believe that war in general may be justified, the horror a war brings is something that will never be justified.  But, back to the poster, I believe that looking at specific pictures makes you think deeper into the issue rather than you would by simply glancing at a big ‘NO’.”
