Image: Jazz when she was in Croydon Schools 100m Below: Recent Success News Just In: Jazz attended the UK Championships in Birmingham. She came home with a silver medal and a new PB 7.77 for the second fastest time in the UK for her age in the 60m, she also won Gold for the 2nd year in a row at the Kent Championship. Previous News: Jazz in Year 9 Reade House, ran at the London Youth Indoor Games this February. She was running in the U15 race but she is still U14! It was the 60m sprint and Jazz came first in a new personal best of 7.84 seconds. This is the 2nd fastest under 15 time in the UK this year. Well done Jazz! |

Successes Last Year
Kent U15 100m Champion.
Surrey Schools U15 Champion.
4th in AAA 100m Championships (this is a national event).
Target This Year
A podium finish at AAA and English Schools. Ideally and if all goes to plan, Jazz would be 1st.
An Interview with Jazz
Have you always been interested in running and at what age did you begin to realise you had a real talent for it?
Jazz: “Yes from the age of 8, I always loved running at school and my PE Teacher at the time, said I should join a club, which I did, the South London Harriers, and I have been running for five years.”
What is your favourite subject at school?
Jazz: “English”
What would you like to do in the future?
Jazz: Be a lawyer, my mum is a lawyer and I find it really interesting. I feel I am really good at putting across my case.”
Do you have a dream for your athletic abilities?
Jazz: “I want to get to the English Schools and I also want to go to the
Commonwealths and European Championships.”
How often do you train?
Jazz: “For two-hours, four days a week.”
What is next on the agenda for your running?
Jazz: “School Sports Day and the Croydon Championships.”
