Success for Year 9 Athletes - June 2012

Congratulations to Jazz who has become the Surrey Schools 200m Junior Girls' Champion and Daniel who was runner-up in the 1,500m Junior Boys' race. Both pupils were subsequently selected to represent the County in their chosen events. Recently, Dan ran a commendable 1,500m time of 4mins 29secs in the SE Inter-Counties Schools race. Jazz, who is currently ranked 3^rd in the UK for 200m in her age-group, has been selected as one of a group of 60 elite Surrey athletes to represent her county in the English Schools Finals in Gateshead at the start of July.
