Success for Jazz Again UPDATE! - February 2012
Raising money is something the students at Royal Russell School are proving to be very good at.
With a mufti day they have managed to raise a significant £1,200 for LEPRA.
LEPRA estimates that it costs just £21 to help cure a person of leprosy, and with around 250,000 new cases discovered every year worldwide, every penny counts towards bringing about the day when leprosy is finally eradicated.
Royal Russell School are delighted that the £1,200 raised means that 57 people who are currently suffering needlessly with this disease will be able to be cured and thus reunited with their families, return to education and once again be part of their community.
LEPRA Health in Action is fighting diseases of poverty, improving access to health and quality of life.
