Year 6 Transition to Senior School Talk - January 2012
Year 6 spent an exciting hour listening to Mrs Thomas-Webb and Mr Selby, the two senior school deputy heads, and Miss Palenski, Head of Year 7 speak about senior school life. A variety of topics were covered including organisational routines; the house system; the role of tutor groups, sixth form mentors, form and house teachers; the range of academic and practical subjects and co-curricular activities; visits in this country and abroad; and many other areas of senior school life.

Children listened attentively and at the end of the presentation asked a great many questions that will have settled inevitable worries and inquisitiveness at this stage in their school careers. This was a new initiative and judged to have been extremely useful and productive by all concerned.
