January 2009 The Chairman was delighted to announce that, at the January 2009 meeting of the Committee for The Old Russellians, a decision was made that from September 2009 the annual subscription for membership would cease to exist.


Rules and Constitution
The Committee would like to draw your attention to the new set of Rules for The Old Russellians Society. These appeared on the website for 30 days in June 2012 in order that O.R.s could view and make any comments or suggestions as they deemed necessary. Thank you for your positive feedback. AGM 2012
This year the AGM formed part of The Winter Toast event at The George Inn, Southwark on Friday 30th November, and the opportunity to vote for Officers occurred during the evening. History was made when a new lady Chair was voted in. The Old Russellians are proud to report that Julia Lee (at school 1982-1988) is the new Chairman, and Simon Jones (at school 1991-1998) is the new Treasurer. The reports are downloadable below.

AGM 2011
The AGM will not be held this year as traditionally on the last Friday of November.

AGM 2010

The AGM was chaired by Brian Angel and was attended by most members of the committee together with other Old Russellians, in company with Dr John Jennings (Headmaster), Mr Paul Barlow (Bursar), Mr John Piggin (Cambridge Housemaster), Miss Julia Powell (Correspondent) and Mrs Sue Tanner (Membership Secretary).  This was held in the Conference Room at 6:30pm on Friday 26th November 2010. The AGM was attended by the Chairman of the O.R.s (Mr Karl Yabsley) together with other Old Russellians, in company with Dr John Jennings (Headmaster), Mr Paul Barlow (Bursar), Miss Julia Powell (Correspondent) and Mrs Sue Tanner (Membership Secretary).  This was held in the School Library at 6:30pm on Friday 27th November 2009.  Please click here for minutes.

Steering Committee
In Autumn 2005 Royal Russell School took over the management of The Old Russellians. The Bursar, Paul Barlow, kindly took on the role of Chairman of a Steering Committee which was brought together to put the Society ‘back on its feet'.
