Choir in Gibraltar - April 2009
|
‘Magnificent performers, first class musicians with exemplary behaviour’, these are just a few of the comments recently used by the Dean of Europe the Very Reverend Doctor John Paddock, to describe the Royal Russell School Chamber Choir.
The Chamber Choir upon invitation from the Dean of Europe recently visited the Diocese of Europe, Gibraltar, to sing in three concerts over the weekend. They performed to audiences and congregations who included His Excellency the Governor and Deputy Governor (who prior to her appointment was a Croydon resident herself!), the Minister of Culture, other Senior members of the Government and other distinguished guests. The standard of music was described by all as first-class, and the politeness and behaviour of the pupils as exemplary.
Congratulations must go to all for flying the flag for Croydon so well across the water!
