French Soirée, C’est Fantastique! - February 2011
The Modern Foreign Languages Department organised a French soirée this week. All pupils from Years 6 to 8 attended this French educational performance in the Auditorium, which was followed by a French food tasting experience in the school Dining Hall.
The French soirée was aimed at our Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 pupils. It began with a “très amusante” performance from the company Tête à Tête led by Dan Roro. Pupils were treated to an hour of French fun during which time they listened to and repeated words in French whilst watching the dramatic Dan Roro juggling in many diverse ways, including making an omelet while climbing the stairs! He was ably assisted by his puppet pal.
After the show pupils had the opportunity to talk to the performers and ask any questions regarding the play. There were light refreshments with a French flavour (including frogs’ legs!) for the pupils to enjoy.
We had a great time!
