Shakespeare's Birthday Celebrations - April 2012
The Senior School celebrated Shakespeare's birthday in style. A fun quiz about the bard and his life and times got pupils in the mood. This was followed by pupils from nearly every year group presenting short scenes, monologues or songs from a wide range of his works. The highlight for many was the selection of Shakespearean insults that were traded by a couple of Year 7 boys with great gusto! The festivities ended with a chorus of “Happy Birthday” to the great man and a sharing in his birthday cake.

As the England number one, he won an impressive 14 out of 17 matches in the team event. Unfortunately the England number 3 was unwell and they had to give 3 walkovers in every match to the other teams. However, they still managed to win the team Bronze medal.
