In our community of over a thousand people, everyone is expected to show courtesy and consideration in caring for others, for the school and for our local community. Our expectations are clearly expressed out in our Code of Conduct and Classroom Code which we provide our pupils with. Pastoral Care is an enormous strength of Royal Russell School. At every level our community aims to provide the ideal conditions in which our young people can thrive.
Our House based system provides continuity throughout their time at the School. The Housemaster or Housemistress will welcome them to the School and carefully monitor their progress over the years supported by a full team of tutors. From here a network of care extends through regular contact with subject staff and support staff.

Pupils are encouraged to discuss personal concerns, worries or problems with someone they trust – a parent, friend, mentor or teacher.
