This year’s Junior Inter-House Maths Challenge was held last Tuesday. Small teams took part in a series of mathematical and logic puzzles.
They should be congratulated on their enthusiasm and the enquiring and competitive spirit that they displayed during the challenge.
At the end of the competition, teams were treated to some well- deserved refreshments.
Thanks are due, as ever, to Mrs Smith for compiling a range of thought provoking problems, Miss Bainbridge for her skills behind the camera and Mr Callow who provided classical guitar music to aid creative thought. Staff were also ably supported by a fantastic team of Sixth Form Further Mathematicians.
The top 3 Houses were:
In 3rd place – Queen’s
In 2nd place – Keable
In 1st place – Oxford who will be receiving their trophy in Final Assembly at the end of the academic year.
The winning Oxford team comprised Joe Newman, Kwame Agyeman-Duah, and Yumeng Zhang, (Tim) who have been awarded book tokens.
