JUNIOR SKI TRIP TO CLAVIERE, ITALY

First day of the Easter holidays and we were back at school! No one minded though, because we off on the 2015 junior ski trip!

This year’s trip took us to the sunny slopes of Claviere in Italy, and sunny it was! We had fantastic sunshine almost every day and we had to remember to plaster on the sun cream each morning. Some of the group were very diligent at this and would come down to breakfast looking a little ghost like under all the cream!

We snow ploughed, turned, rode the ski lifts, jumped, navigated the piste and fell on our bottoms to our hearts content both morning and afternoon, though of course we stopped for our elevenses up the mountain each day – hot chocolate anyone?

A highlight had to be the ski school race. Everyone summoned up all that they had learnt during the week, pointed themselves down the course and wizzed through the coloured flags. It was fantastic to see how much people had improved though the week.

Not content to just have fun on the snow though, we sampled some of the delights that the resort had to offer off the slopes. Evening activities included a quiz night, nightime ski-doo ride up the mountain- some of us screamed the whole way there… and back , a disco – we sure know how to strut our stuff, and a onesie and DVD night.

Thank you to everyone who came on this year’s trip. It was immense fun and we hope that many of you will be back to join us again next year.
