MiniMUN goes from strength to strength

We are so pleased to see the MiniMUN club performances continuing to go from strength to strength. Every Wednesday evening about 40 students from Years 6, 7 and 8 meet to debate a statement. This week there was heated debate about whether all schools in the world should allow students to wear their own clothes and have any hairstyles they like in school. It was clear from the speeches and amendments that no one thought their country would agree to this and the North Korean delegate explained that school uniform and agreed hairstyles were compulsory in their country. Eventually France passed introduced an amendment suggesting the decision should be left to individual schools and this was agreed with a large majority.

The last debate before half term was on the Death Penalty and the students had the opportunity to debate in the Great Hall which had been set up ready for our International Conference.
