Politics Conference in Westminster

On Monday 5th December sixteen Politics students attended a Politics conference at the Methodist Hall in Westminster to hear top Politicians such as William Hague, Nigel Farage, John Bercow, Simon Hughes and Tristram Hunt. With six months before the next General Election the students had a chance to compare the leading parties and the different policies they were presenting.

Afterwards the Year 12 students visited the Houses of Parliament and had a chance to briefly watch a debate in the Lords and a Ministerial Statement on Health in the Commons.

At the conference one of the speakers, shadow minister for work and pensions Rachel Reeves MP, confessed that she had attended the same conference as a student 18 years ago and asked a question. I wonder if Michelle Kazi and Callum McAvoy who both asked excellent questions will follow in her footsteps.
