Hollenden House

Hollenden is a day and boarding house for girls from Year 7 to Year 13. We have boarders from all over the world including the UK, and we pride ourselves in offering a home from home to all our girls. We aim to provide a safe and educational environment for all and ensure we nourish every one of them throughout their academic life at Royal Russell.

Our House team of tutors is dedicated to supporting our boarders and day pupils throughout the academic year. We offer a balanced social and academic environment for them all. We thrive at looking after each pupil by providing them with the support they need for their studies as well as any pastoral matters. The older girls mentor the younger ones and help new students settle in.

Our modern house offers the girls amazing facilities such as spacious communal areas and dining spaces where the girls can try their cooking skills and enjoy learning from each other. There are some quiet areas in the house too, and these are used by the girls to study or enjoy some downtime.

The girls take part in House competitions across the school and we are particularly strong in many sports activities such as netball and chess.

Our friendly and supportive team of Staff provides excellent pastoral care to ensure that our girls are happy and have a successful school experience away from home.

Our priority is to make sure the girls enjoy and make the most of their time at Royal Russell. To achieve this, we always listen to their views and ideas and offer what we believe will be valuable to them. Teamwork from Staff and pupils is key and what makes Hollenden House a special and caring space for us all.
