Royal Russell Explorers (4-7 years)

Royal Russell Explorers provides an array of immersive activities for 4-7 year olds in our beautiful Royal Russell grounds (siblings are welcome). 

On select Saturdays from 9:30-11:30 am, join us for an exciting morning of fun and discovery! Explorers must be accompanied by a grown-up. Our upcoming Royal Russell Explorer dates are below:

 

Saturday 8 March 2025 - Exciting STEM

On this Royal Russell Explorers morning, we will take a closer look at our exciting building site and learn more about some of the methods of construction before returning to the Junior School and allowing our young engineers to take part in some construction activities of their own! 

It is an exciting time for us at Royal Russell as our new Junior School building project has captured the excitement of the whole community and promoted learning about Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths (STEM) and a whole lot more. As part of our Royal Russell Explorers programme, we invite you to come and spend the morning with us as we explore the world of STEM. Our lives are quite rapidly being changed by STEM innovations, from AI learning to science, the ways we connect with friends and family and even the way that we produce our food. STEM touches almost every part of our lives these days, so it’s important for children to take part in STEM learning early to get a good understanding of the world around them. 

 

Saturday 3 May 2025 - Cooking Together

Cookery is a combination of science, art, maths, experience, skill and, often, a lot of effort. Whilst consuming food is something we are all familiar with, making something to eat and share is an excellent way of helping children to develop a positive and healthy relationship with food. Whether trying a new recipe, problem solving during a kitchen conundrum or nurturing their culinary creativity, your children will love coming to our specialist food technology classrooms and making something delicious. 

 

• Price: No charge
• Venue: Royal Russell Forest School (directed from Visitor Car Park)
• Ages: 4-7 (all must be accompanied) - families and siblings are welcome
• Please book 1 ticket per child (age 4-7) attending - there is no need to book additional tickets for adults or siblings attending.
