Junior School Values
We focus on nurturing individuals' overall development, including their intellectual, social, physical, creative, cultural, and moral aspects, fostering a love for learning and excellence in a supportive environment. Our curriculum and activities prepare individuals with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes for a successful future.
We emphasise spiritual and moral values. We value kindness, generosity, respect and integrity empowering pupils to develop self-awareness, confidence, and leadership while fostering a sense of responsibility towards the community and society.
Our Moral Compass
Our enabling environments help all children develop self-confidence through positive relationships and enduring friendships. We build on this secure foundation developing resilience and the important characteristics of our Moral Compass: kindness, generosity, respect and integrity.
Russell Powers
At Royal Russell we encourage our pupils to be:
House Day
Every pupil in the Junior School belongs to one of our four Houses (Durham, Exeter, Canterbury and York). All pupils in the Junior School participated in our House Day, which consisted of carefully planned activities to focus on our Russell Powers and Moral Compass.
