Trampolining

The Junior School trampoline club is coached by ex GB trampolinists and offers an extensive programme catering for our recreational bouncers to our Elite level performers.

Training is held in our large Sports Hall where we have 6 trampolines, 2 of competition standard and 4 training beds. We work closely with RSC who train at Royal Russell and compete on the National circuit, we have access to their 3 National standard trampolines when required.

At local level we host Novice competitions and the Croydon Schools event where we win at both Novice & Elite level. We also host the IAPS Trampoline National with over 200 competitors it's a great event. We are current U11 girls team nathional champions, U11 boys individual champion, U9 girls team runners up, U9 girls runner up and U9 girls 3rd place.

We enter the National schools competition and progressed 3 teams plus 5 individuals through to the Southern Zonal finals. At the Zonal finals the U11 girls Intermediate team won the event and qualified for the National schools finals where they finished in an amazing 2nd place in the whole of Great Britain, a simply awesome result.

The Trampoline Team, especially the boys, have once again enjoyed fantastic success at Regional and National level. The season started with 24 pupils successfully progressing from the London Regional round to the Southern Zonal Finals. It was a day for the Novice Boys with both the U11B (2nd) and U13B (1st) securing a place at the National Finals. At the Finals, after top quality routines, the U11 Boys were 4th. Outstanding results. We hosted the Junior and Senior Croydon Schools event and swept the board both individually and in the team event. The squad won six Individual and eight Team titles with lots of silver and bronze medals too! To round off a great season we once again hosted a very successful IAPS National Trampoline Championship, with 194 competitors from schools across the country bouncing.

Our strong Trampoline squad had trained hard and were ready for this exciting event. The U9 Girls all completed great set routines, and the team finished 5th. In the largest group of the day, with 58 competitors, the U11 Girls dominated the field with six trampolinists finishing in the top 15! Isabel Gironella topped the group with two excellent routines and picked up a 6th place medal. These excellent performances secured the A Team a silver medal in the Cup Competition!

The day finished with a lovely surprise when the C Team won the Plate Competition after showing great consistency in their routines!
