Welcome to our Senior School
Our happy, vibrant and forward looking community provides our girls and boys with an outstanding range of exciting opportunities.
Our stunning 110 acre university style campus boasts stunning architecture, spacious classrooms and excellent, modern on-site facilities for sport, performing arts, science, media technology and design.
Academic ambition and our focus on each individual’s talents and strengths ensure success at each stage of our student's learning journey. Every member of our outstanding teaching staff is passionate about providing the best possible educational experience for every student.
Our students are encouraged, nurtured and, where necessary, driven to reach their full potential and achieve their goals and our excellent public examination results reinforce the success of each of our students.
We admit a carefully balanced community of students to the school, those who bring and share their many talents and skills, reinforcing our values and motto – ‘non sibi sed omnibus’ (Not for oneself but for all). Our boarding students, who make Royal Russell their home, bring a much-valued international element.
Through our House and Tutor system and small class sizes, we know each student individually and can provide bespoke guidance and outstanding pastoral care. Parents are regularly informed of effort and attainment grades and the results of standardised assessments and aspirational targets are set, relative to each student’s ability in each subject. Students are exceptionally well cared for.
We recognise that there is more to a successful school life than academic achievement alone. An extensive range of co-curricular activities and clubs operate for extended learning, enrichment and enjoyment.
Royal Russell students are happy, confident and articulate individuals who take great pride in their support for each other and in their environment. An excellent school with caring and professional staff.' Parental Survey, Year 9 Parent 'We have always felt the campus/facilities are great. Royal Russell pupils are always polite and well presented. My son has been extremely happy at the school since the age of four and a large part of this has been down to the excellent pastoral care and genuine interest in the individual.
