Holiday Activities
Royal Russell offers a variety of activities over the school holidays for different age groups. Our Holiday Club caters to Nursery (3+) to Year 6, and we offer Activity Camps from Year 6 to Year 9. These activities are open to everyone, even if your child does not attend Royal Russell.
Bookings for our February Holiday Club open on Wednesday 8 January at midday.
Holiday Club will run between 17 - 21 February with flexible drop off and collection options.Packed with fun activities for children in Nursery to Year 6 including swimming, team building, nature adventures, arts & crafts, cooking and more!

Holiday Club
Our Activity Camps run on selected dates throughout the year, with specialised activities catered to older children in Year 6 to Year 9. In February Half Term they can choose from Cricket Skills or Minecraft Coding!
Cricket – Mon 17 and Tue 18 February, 10am - 2pm
£33 per day, with Mr Udall
Come and join our long-anticipated Royal Russell Cricket Camp! Our dynamic sessions are designed to promote physical development and enhance cricket-specific skills. Under the expert guidance of Royal Russell's Lead for Cricket Performance & Development Dan Udall. Players will receive high quality net coaching, hardball sessions, fielding sessions and conditioned games that not only refine technique but also sharpen tactical awareness. As this course will be delivered using hard balls, protective equipment is required, and this is not provided. The full list of protective equipment is a batting helmet, pads, gloves, and an abdominal protector.
Minecraft Coding & Artificial Intelligence – Wed 19 and Thu 20 February, 10am - 2pm
£33 per day, with Mr Otti
Engage in our Minecraft 'Hour of Code' and explore the possibilities with Micro:bit, enhancing your programming knowledge through fun and interactive activities. Discover the exciting world of artificial intelligence and learn essential coding skills in a dynamic environment designed for young people. Our Minecraft Coding and AI Activity Camp combines game development and coding challenges fostering creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Breakfast Club – Takes place on the days any camps above run. From 9am - 10am and is FREE when booking an Activity Camp.

Enjoyment is an important part of our Holiday Activities experience, and our programmes keep all children engaged and entertained, allowing them to try different activities they may not experience during term-time. We pride ourselves on meeting the needs of all children by working together as a whole school community – our instructors are all current teaching and support staff at Royal Russell, so we can ensure the highest standard of care and responsibility.
