Our Activity Camps run on selected dates throughout the year, with specialised activities catered to older children in Year 6 to Year 9.

Cricket Camp – Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 April 10:00-14:00

Camp details:  Come and join our long-anticipated Royal Russell Cricket Camp.  Our dynamic sessions are designed to promote physical development and enhance cricket-specific skills under the expert guidance of our coach Dan Udall.  Players will receive high quality net coaching, hardball sessions, fielding sessions and conditioned games that not only refine technique but also sharpen tactical awareness.  As this course will be delivered using hard balls, protective equipment is required, and please note that we cannot provide this for all. The full list of protective equipment is a batting helmet, pads, gloves, and an abdominal protector.  If your child has their own cricket bat, please could this be brought along. We may have some items that can be borrowed if you are not able to source it all.

Cycling Skills Camp (for competent riders) – Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 April 10:00-14:00

Camp details: Are you ready to take your cycling skills to the next level? For competent cyclists looking to refine your technique, our Cycling Skills Camp is designed to equip you with the essential skills and confidence to ride wherever you want to go! Learn how to brake effectively and efficiently to maintain control and a smooth line through every corner. We'll teach you how to change gears up and down hills to maintain a consistent speed and optimize your pedalling technique. You'll learn how to maintain momentum and balance while climbing, as well as the best techniques for safe and fast descents.

Enjoyment is an important part of our Holiday Activities experience, and our programmes keep all children engaged and entertained, allowing them to try different activities they may not experience during term-time. We pride ourselves on meeting the needs of all children by working together as a whole school community – our instructors are all current teaching and support staff at Royal Russell, so we can ensure the highest standard of care and responsibility.
