Year 7 Buchanan Adventure Weekend

On Friday 8 May, a group of intrepid adventurers left Royal Russell for the Downe Activity Centre, ready for an evening of games, campfires and marshmallows, den making, dancing, horror film-making and birthday cake! Making friends with a few spiders first, we settled down for the night, waking bright and early for breakfast before heading off for some very exciting activities. It turns out that Buchanan Year 7 has some skilful axe throwers! The obstacle course was fun too, challenging and exciting, and by midday, everyone was ready for a relaxing, sunny Saturday.

A huge thank you to all the girls for a wonderful time, and to Miss Lambert for demonstrating such prowess with the tomahawks! Here’s to our next trip to the wonderful Downe Activity Centre, hopefully the first of many for Royal Russell.
